Troubleshooting Tips
1. Try restarting with an ethernet cable (The cable from your classroom phone or borrow from the Media Center).
2. For the internet try Fn + the Home Key (Sometimes this is a different key, but it has a tower with a signal on it)
3. For power, make sure you know which power slot it did not charge in. Test on another cord. Submit a ticket in ServicePRO for the cart (IT# on back) and slot #, if another cord works. If not, ticket the laptop for the battery not charging.
*When in doubt, talk to the SLMS

Student Accounts
· Student UN: First name + first letter of last name + last 5 digits of student ID# without spaces
· Student PW: Falcons19/Fall19/Fall2019
· If students have the incorrect password/forgot the password, then you must reset it. The password reset site is xdAD in the My MNPS folder: http://aup.mnps.org/password/ Use your computer UN/PW, enter a student first/last name, select the filter "contains," and go to "actions" and "reset."
Cart & Set Procedures
1. Non-Negotiable: NEVER loan out laptops or take them from other carts or sets. You may check out a cart from your Tech Lead or a set from the Library.
2. Track laptops (Can use # order when you note the ones out to repairs, can assign to desks, or sign out to students) and report any missing items to your SLMS (School Library Media Specialist).
3. Monitor student usage: plugging and unplugging can damage ports on laptops so watch this; check corners, keys, and screens during logging in and out (log out, but do not shut down because they update nightly); reinforce carrying two-handed by the base; and watch that students follow directions and use appropriately.
4. Make sure to return carts on time, in number order, and without any damaged or non-working laptops left on the cart. Turn cart off when plugging and un-plugging.
5. Ticket each damaged or non-working laptop in ServicePRO, and send to the library with the ticket # (If you have over 5 repairs, call your SLMS at 540320 for support). Leave a note on the cart to notify that the laptop is out for repairs.
Note: Be careful transporting on the elevator, as bumping the doors with carts can cause the elevator to become stuck.
